In the ever-evolving landscape of education, true learning happens not just in classrooms but in spaces where ideas are tested, collaboration thrives, and innovation takes form.
Hackathons have become one of the most transformative platforms where young minds bridge the gap between theory and practice. They are not merely coding competitions—they are crucibles of creativity, resilience, and real-world problem-solving.
Samartha 2025 – The National Level Hackathon at Mohan Babu University, held from 24th–26th October 2025, stood as a testament to this philosophy.
Organized by the IEEE Student Branch in collaboration with the AICTE–Idea Lab, the 36-hour onsite event brought together over 300 participants from across different Institutions of India under the banner — “Code. Create. Conquer.”
The hackathon explored the theme “Smart Solutions for a Sustainable Future,” spanning cutting-edge domains such as Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Green Technology, Preventive Healthcare, Automation & Robotics, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Augmented & Virtual Reality (AR/VR).
A special category, “Bridging Ancient Indian Technologies with Modern AI,” invited participants to rediscover India’s heritage through the lens of innovation—blending timeless wisdom with futuristic technology.
What made Samartha 2025 truly special was not just the scale, but the spirit.
The air was charged with curiosity and creativity—whiteboards filled with sketches, mentors guiding young teams, and ideas transforming into prototypes in real-time.
The top innovators were recognized with prizes of ₹1.5 lakh, ₹1.25 lakh, and ₹1 lakh, along with four consolation awards of ₹15,000 each. Yet, beyond the trophies, every participant walked away with something far more valuable:
Confidence born from solving challenges under pressure
Teamwork that mirrors real-world collaboration
Networking with industry mentors and peers
Practical learning that strengthens employability and entrepreneurial thinking
For academia, hackathons like Samartha are more than just events—they are academic accelerators.
They transform universities into ecosystems of innovation, equipping students with the ability to think critically, adapt swiftly, and build purposefully.
Samartha 2025 embodied that vision—a space where creativity met collaboration, where code met conscience, and where classrooms truly met the real world.
